It's usually easy to remove where you got the codes from, depending upon what type of mods you're using; just don't include any parts of the code or any graphics that display the site's name.
Removing advertisements, though, is against MySpace's Terms and Conditions, which specifically prohibits "covering or obscuring the banner advertisements on your personal profile page, or any MySpace.com page via HTML/CSS or any other means;"
